A calmer app, logos on every account, and businesses you own

50changes shipped in two weeksPublished October 5, 2026

Two weeks, 50 changes, and most of them are about how the app reads rather than what it holds. Screens lost the cards they did not need, every account and bank now wears its own logo, and you can find your way back out of any record from the top bar. The new things: start a ledger over, count a business you own toward your net worth, and get your money in even when your bank refuses to connect.

Highlights

  • ImprovedEverywhere

Every screen says one thing first

A pass over the whole app, page by page. Each screen now has a single headline number and a single main action instead of several competing for your eye. Dashboard links stopped shouting, an empty ledger no longer draws eight charts of zeros, and a transaction went from seven stacked cards to three, with the rarely-read detail one click away behind icons instead of a card each.

  • NewAccounts

Your accounts and banks wear their logos

Every bank shows its mark, and where your bank did not send one the app finds the icon from its website. You can upload your own for a bank or for a single account, and change or remove it later. Counterparty logos now show on transaction rows and in the merge picker too, so a list of charges reads as the companies behind them.

  • NewSettings

The businesses you own count toward your net worth

If you keep a business in its own ledger, you can link it from Settings and say what share of it you own. Your share of its book value shows up as a Business interests asset, refreshed every day, and a salary that business pays you nets to zero at home instead of looking like income twice. If you ever lose access to the ledger the value freezes at its last figure rather than vanishing.

  • NewAccounts

Another way in when your bank will not connect

When the connection flow cannot find or support your bank, it now offers the alternatives instead of a dead end: add the bank by hand and land on it with the statement importer already open, bring your history over from Rocket Money, try a different bank, or tell us which one you need. It names your bank when it knows it.

  • NewSettings

    Start a ledger over

Settings can now erase everything inside a ledger and leave the ledger itself standing, which the personal one needed because it cannot be deleted. Transactions, accounts, budgets, documents, bank links and connected mailboxes all go, a fresh chart of accounts comes back, and the people and the plan stay as they were.

Getting around

  • A trail back out of anything

    ImprovedEverywhere

The top bar carries the path you are on, down to the name of the record you opened: Cash flow, then Transactions, then Uber. Every step is clickable, the section opens the pages it holds, and tapping the page you are on clears its filters. It replaced a title that only repeated the one below it.

  • Settings has a list of its sections

    ImprovedSettings

A nav down the side of Settings, so billing, security and the danger zone are one click apart instead of a long scroll. Nothing destructive is a solid red button any more until you are at the confirmation.

  • The ledger switcher says who is in each ledger

    ImprovedEverywhere

Picking between ledgers now shows the people in them under each name, instead of repeating the name of the app at you.

Money in, money out

  • Transaction rows read as the company behind them

    ImprovedTransactions

A row shows the counterparty's real name and its logo rather than the bank's descriptor, so a list of charges can be scanned instead of deciphered.

  • Attaching a receipt is one button

    ImprovedReceipts

Recurring charges and receipts share one row layout now, with a menu on each row and a single clear Attach instead of competing buttons. The receipt panel shows the logo of the charge it matched.

  • A counterparty page you can take in at a glance

    ImprovedCounterparties

The top of the page is one block again. Its About, your notes, how to cancel and the merge tool moved to icons beside the name, so what the company costs you is what you see first.

  • Spending opens with a way in

    ImprovedSpending

The page has a title of its own, and when there is nothing to show yet it says what spending will look like and offers the step that gets you there, instead of an empty frame.

Net worth

  • Ask who your bank is

    NewAccounts

A bank's page can look the institution up on the web and tell you who owns it and what it is, the same card counterparties already had. If it gets something wrong you can correct it.

  • Sync times in words

    ImprovedAccounts

A bank says it synced two minutes ago rather than printing a timestamp you have to date yourself.

  • Banks with nothing open still appear

    ImprovedAccounts

A bank whose accounts have all been closed is listed with the rest, so you can reach its page to erase or remove it instead of it sitting there unreachable.

  • The total leads each bank card

    ImprovedAccounts

What you hold at a bank is the first thing on its card, with the connection state and your notes as icons by the name. Removing a bank stays quiet until you confirm it.

  • Record pages lost their lines

    ImprovedEverywhere

Properties, vehicles, debts, pay and plans group by space and small overlines rather than rules and boxes, with the date sitting under the description where you read it.

Reading the numbers

  • The weekly email leads with your month

    ImprovedReports

The Monday summary now opens with the month so far, what you spent against what you earned, and the three categories taking the biggest share. The week ahead follows, and the link opens the monthly report the figures come from.

  • On a budget, Left is the number

    ImprovedBudgets

What you have left in a category is the figure the card leads with, not something you work out from two others. Removing a budget asks first.

  • Seven more things to read on the blog

    NewBlog

New posts on renting against buying, preparing for a layoff, negotiating a medical bill, budgeting on irregular income, high-yield savings, and what a car loan's rate and term really cost you.

When something breaks

  • Report an error in one click

    NewEverywhere

Where the app used to print a raw error at you, there is now a button that sends it to us with everything we need to chase it, including what you were doing at the time. No reproduction steps to write.

Fixed

  • Brokerage accounts sync again

    FixedInvestments

A bad reading of the balances your broker sends was failing the whole sync for any bank with an investment account, so nothing from it updated. It syncs again.

  • Foreign currency values are current again

    FixedReports

The daily exchange-rate fetch had been turned away since late September and quietly fell back to the last rates it had, so anything held in another currency was being valued at a stale rate. Rates update daily again.

  • A receipt follows its charge when the bank posts it

    FixedReceipts

A receipt attached to a pending charge used to be stranded when the bank replaced that charge with the posted one. It now moves across with it, or goes back to the unmatched pile if the charge disappears.

  • Keyboard focus is visible in the sidebar

    FixedEverywhere

The ring around the nav row you have tabbed to is no longer clipped by the edge of the scrolling column.
