Forward the receipt. We'll find the charge.
Email it to your private address, send it on WhatsApp, upload a photo — or connect Gmail once and never forward anything. The receipt is read, matched to the card charge, and its line items land in your spending.
The receipt finds its own charge.
- 1
Get your address
Settings → Receipts gives you a private forwarding address and a WhatsApp link code. They are yours alone, and you can rotate them any time.
- 2
Send the receipt
A photo, a PDF or the store's own email. Or connect Gmail once: the sweep finds the Uber, Lyft and Amazon mail on its own, every few hours.
- 3
It matches itself
Amount, merchant, date and the card's last four score the candidate charges. A sure match attaches itself; a doubtful one waits in Needs match for your pick. A receipt that arrives before the charge posts is matched when it does.
Not a folder of images. Itemized spending.
Line items in your analytics
Each line on the receipt becomes a line in the ledger, so a Costco run reads as groceries and household, not one lump.
Duplicates caught
The same receipt twice, or two receipts for one purchase, are flagged at the door rather than counted twice.
Any currency
A receipt in pesos matches a charge in dollars; the insights are in your ledger's own currency.
A paperclip on every transaction
Open a charge and its receipt is there — the image, the lines, the totals — and the assistant can read it too.
Photos are fine
A crumpled receipt on the counter, photographed with your phone, reads as well as the PDF.
Kept in your vault
Receipts live with your statements and documents, and go when your account does — nothing outlives its owner.
- What formats work?
- Photos, PDFs and the body of a receipt email. Forward the store's mail as it is.
- Does the Gmail sweep read all my mail?
- It searches for receipt-shaped mail only, after you connect, and stops the moment you disconnect.
- What if it matches the wrong charge?
- Detach it and pick the right one from the scored candidates; the lines move with it.
Every receipt, on the charge it belongs to.
