Search by amount, statements that say they are paid, and new accounts

83changes shipped this weekPublished October 19, 2026

One week, 83 changes, and most of them are about finding what you are looking for and keeping the whole picture in view. Search now reads the line on your bank statement, the amount and the names you gave things. A credit card now says whether its statement is paid, so the reminder stops for people who already paid. A new card at a bank you connected, or an account the bank stops sharing, no longer slips by unnoticed. The new feature is for households that share a laptop: several people can stay signed in and switch with a keystroke.

Highlights

  • NewTransactions

Search by amount, statement line or your own names

Type the amount from your statement, 72.80, and the charge comes up; type 72 and you get everything from 72.00 to 72.99. Paste the words your bank printed, like SQ *BLUE BOTTLE 0412, and search finds the transaction even though it is named Blue Bottle. And if you renamed a merchant, searching for your name for it finds its charges too. The list also shows the bank's own statement line next to the name when it says something more.

  • NewCredit cards

A card's statement says whether it is paid

Under each card on the Credit cards page you now see where the latest statement stands: Statement paid in full, what is left to pay by the due date to avoid interest, or that part of it went unpaid and the card is likely charging interest. The payment reminder no longer goes out once the statement is paid in full, and if you paid part of it, it tells you how much is left. When your bank has not sent the next statement yet, the reminder keeps coming with a likely due date instead of going quiet.

  • NewEverywhere

Stay signed in to several accounts

Choose Sign in to another account from the user menu and the first person stays signed in. Everyone signed in on the device is listed in that menu, and Ctrl+Shift+1 to 9 switches between them, each landing back in the ledger they last had open. Ctrl+1 to 9 does the same for your ledgers, jumping straight to one without opening the switcher.

  • NewAccounts

New and unshared accounts at a connected bank

Open a new card at a bank you already connected and you get a New account at your bank to-do; Add accounts brings it in with its full history. If the bank stops sharing one of your accounts, because you closed it, left it out when connecting or turned off sharing at the bank, it is marked Not shared and a to-do asks you to Share again or confirm It's closed, so a frozen balance no longer sits in your net worth without a word.

  • ImprovedAutomations

Rules written from one payment match the next

A rule written from a single payment used to copy its reference numbers, so it matched that payment and never fired again. Suggested rules now stop before the reference, and a payer that sends a fresh reference with every direct deposit is matched by its company instead. The rules you had already written were trimmed the same way.

Accounts and banks

  • More ways a bank can stop updating, caught

    ImprovedAccounts

A brokerage whose positions or trades stop arriving, or a card whose due dates stop updating, is now marked Not updating even while its transactions still sync. The to-do says what stopped and since when, and Sync now tells you when a sync came back missing part of what it asked for.

Transactions

  • Undo a transfer you marked by mistake

    ImprovedTransactions

Marking a transaction as a transfer now says which account it was filed with and offers Undo. Picking a category for a transaction that was marked as a transfer now takes the mark back, where it used to fail without saying so.

  • A tidier transaction page

    ImprovedTransactions

Tags now sit beside the category, and ignore and personal or business are small controls in the row beside the name, instead of a card of their own. Each transaction names its account by the name and logo you see on the accounts page, so two accounts at one bank are easy to tell apart, and hovering the info button shows what the bank sent without a click.

Assistant

  • The assistant knows your credit cards

    NewAssistant

Ask about your cards and the assistant can now read their due dates, balances and whether the latest statement is paid. It can also take back a transfer mark you made by mistake, once you approve it.

  • Closing an account from the chat

    ImprovedAssistant

When you ask the assistant to close an account, it now does exactly what Remove does: the balance is closed out and a connected account stops syncing. Like Remove, it needs an admin of the ledger.

Everywhere

  • Quicker to the touch

    ImprovedEverywhere

The command palette opens and closes at once instead of fading, and its items show the hand cursor. Page actions drop below the title on a phone instead of running off the screen, and the progress rings and charts settle faster and hold still if your device asks for reduced motion.

For developers

  • Credit cards in the API

    NewAPI

A new cards list operation in the public API and its MCP tools returns each card's due date, balances and statement status.

  • Search, statement lines and transfers in the API

    ImprovedAPI

Listing transactions searches amounts, statement lines and renamed counterparties the same way the app does. Transactions and account ledger lines carry the statement line, updating a transaction can mark or clear a transfer, and accounts and bank connections say when an account stopped being shared or new accounts are waiting.

Help

  • When your bank changes

    ImprovedHelp

The guide to connected and manual accounts has a new section on what happens when a reconnect goes wrong, when you open a new account at a connected bank, and when the bank stops sharing one.

Fixed

  • To-dos load for everyone

    FixedDashboard

If one merchant both charged you and paid you every month, the to-do list failed to load. It now loads and keeps the charge that costs you more.

  • Bank updates find their way back

    FixedAccounts

A bank connection that was sending its updates to the wrong address is now pointed back at LumaLedger on its next sync, so new transactions arrive on their own again.
