This is our highest-leverage hire. Everything on this page depends on someone owning how we find people, how we assess them, and how it feels to be assessed by us. We would rather be slow and fair than fast and forgettable, and we want the person who insists on both.
You would own recruiting across engineering, product, design and go-to-market — sourcing included. At our size that is a hands-on role with a mandate to design the whole system, from the first message to the offer conversation.
What you would do
- Own the full recruiting funnel and the hiring plan across every team.
- Source directly for the hardest roles rather than waiting on inbound.
- Design structured, evidence-based interview loops and train the interviewers on them.
- Hold the bar when the team is impatient, and make every rejection respectful and fast.
- Build the employer brand this careers page is only the first page of.
What we look for
- 6+ years in recruiting with meaningful in-house time at a growing startup.
- You have hired senior engineers yourself, not only coordinated the process.
- A strong, considered point of view on structured interviewing and fairness.
- Data-literate about funnels, and candid when the data says the process is the problem.
Nice to have, never required
- You have built a recruiting function from scratch.
- Experience hiring across two offices in different cities.
