Search results for personal finance are mostly thin content written to place a credit-card link. There is an enormous opening for the opposite: research-backed, sourced, genuinely useful writing that helps someone whether or not they ever sign up.
You would own our editorial voice across the blog, the guides and the product's own explanatory copy — and the SEO strategy that gets it found without compromising it.
What you would do
- Own the editorial calendar and write the pieces that set the standard.
- Build a sourcing discipline: every number cited, every claim checkable, nothing older than its shelf life.
- Own organic search strategy — structure, internal linking, and the topics worth competing for.
- Commission and edit outside contributors without losing the voice.
What we look for
- 5+ years writing and editing for a consumer audience, with published work you can point to.
- Real fluency in personal finance — you can spot a wrong claim without looking it up.
- You understand SEO and refuse to let it write the sentence.
Nice to have, never required
- You have grown an organic channel from near zero.
- Editorial experience at a publication with a corrections policy.
If you are on the fence
Every list above describes the person we imagine, not a checklist we score. People who meet most of it and want the rest have done extremely well here. If the role reads like the job you want next, that is enough reason to write to us — tell us which part you would have to grow into and we will be straight with you about whether it works.
Send whatever shows your work best — a CV, a repository, a portfolio, or a few paragraphs. A hiring manager reads every one, and you will hear back within two business days.
